WHERE DID WE START?

My name is Cara Hollingsworth and I am currently an elementary teacher in McPherson, Kansas. I graduated with an Elementary Education Degree from Kansas State University and a Master's Degree in Administration from Fort Hays State University. I grew up in the Kansas City metro area where tutoring was supported and encouraged. After moving to McPherson, I worked in Windom for two years where I was introduced to the small town life. Living in McPherson and working in Windom opened my eyes to a new sense of community. I watched both communities reach out and help everyone around them.

That's what Live2Learn is all about! 

As a teacher, I am focused on trying to help my students improve. I wish there were more of me and more time in the week to spend individual time with my students.  The one on one time is incredibly beneficial for students to develop the skills and relationships they need in order to grow.
